household hazardous waste

Household Hazardous Waste

In California, it is illegal to dispose of household hazardous waste in the trash, green waste, or recycling containers, down the drain or toilet, or by abandonment. If these products are handled or disposed of incorrectly, they may pose a threat to humans, animals, and our environment. Household hazardous waste needs to be disposed of through a Household Hazardous Waste Program.
  • The Tulare County HHW Program is available for Tulare County Residents only.
  • Drop off your Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) for free.
